Apple has sold more than 1 million iPads to date, but what does it mean for your outlet, your clients and your audience?

We’re bringing in three Birmingham technology experts to talk about their vision for the iPad and how it relates to media and advertising businesses.

brian caubleBrian Cauble (@briancauble) is the co-owner of Appsolute Genius, an iPhone application development company in Birmingham. His other interests include promoting local entrepreneurship through Birmingham Entrepreneur, participating in social media and a huge attachment to college football. You may have seen his app reviews on Media of Birmingham.

John GarrettJohn Garrett (@garrett98) is chief strategic officer at Infomedia Consulting Group. Previously, he worked as a business consultant for Apple. He’s a husband and a father, as well as an avid poker player.

Jeff VreelandJeff Vreeland (@jvreeland) is a father, a husband, the owner of VM Technologies and a social media apprentice. He’s a contributor at political blog TechRepublican and has a personal blog, Social Jeff.

Matt is the senior editorial producer and has been with AL.com for 11 years.  He oversees the site’s entertainment and living sections, acts as a liaison with the state’s three largest newspapers, manages the community blogs and writes a couple of his own.

Dennis is a sports producer and has been with AL.com since 2007.

October event: Rep. Artur Davis on Election 2008

Rep. Artur DavisJoin us for our first keynote speaker, U.S. Rep. Artur Davis. With Election Day just two weeks from our next event, it’s a great time to discuss the state of politics 2008.

Rep. Davis began his service in the House of Representatives in 2003, which also marks the MOB’s founding.

Join the MOB on its new night — Tuesday — on Oct. 21. Our first event sponsor ever is the Redmont Hotel [map]. We’ll be on the mezzanine level in the Redmont Cafe, where you can enjoy a selection of wines and beers at our private cash bar.
